About the department:

The department of dentistry in our college provides dental service to the public in and around the district of Thiruvarur from primary to tertiary level.

Our services include

• Dental screening
• Extraction and scaling of teeth
• Temporary and permanent restoration including light cure restorations
• Root canal treatment
• Minor oral surgical procedures
• Dental emergency treatment
• Trauma care for both inpatient and outpatient
• Oral cancer screening and awareness
• The pediatric dental care is provided by the dental DEIC wing

We also conducted world oral health day on 20 march 2023 and oral cancer awareness month on April 2023 which created awareness on oral hygiene and oral cancer to the public.

1. Assessment of oral hygiene and periodontal status in diabetic patients – a prospective clinical study

2. Spectrum of 4Ds detected by DEIC in government tertiary care hospital in Tamil Nadu – A retrospective study.

3. Genetic testing in patients with craniofacial anomalies in a tertiary care hospital in Tamil Nadu -A pilot study.
