Everything is a self-portrait. A diary. Your whole drug history’s in a strand of your hair, your fingernails and its forensic details. The lining of your stomach is a document. The calluses on your hand tell all your secrets.

The wrinkles around your mouth and eyes tells a lot about a person.

Our college has many eccentric departments and it’s worth mentioning the Forensic department.

“Teaching is the greatest art of optimism”. And Our professor shows a very high level of optimism, empathy and value real world learning.

The forensic department conducts 8 days posting on a rotational basis for every house surgeon.

Forensic Medicine theory classes happens regularly twice a week per batch.

In our department there are about 700 Post-mortem cases conducted every year on average.

Autopsy is an important component of Forensic medicine learning and our department makes sure that each student must observe Post-mortem cases for both practical and theoretical knowledge.

We are conducting various types of cases (for e.g. Custodial death, Exhumation, RTA- Road Traffic Accident, Poison cases, Hanging, Drowning, Burns, Murder, Snake Bite, bee sting, Scorpion Bite, Railway accident, Electrocution, Other accidents, Reserve, suspicious cases)

Apart from Autopsy, we are doing

  • Age estimation
  • DNA Profiling
  • Bone examination cases
  • Expert Opinion

Students can get an opportunity to decode various medico-legal cases. Exclusive sessions are held for the students of 3rd year and 2nd year. Regular Seminar classes are also being conducted.

Forensic Department has provided the best platform for exclusive learning about Medico-legal cases and its practical issues.
