PATCON 2023- CME ON ONCOPATHOLOGY

    The CME was officially inaugurated by by lightening of the lamp by our Respected Dean,

DR. G.JOSEPH RAJ.followed by his message.

   DR. R.UMA, HOD I/C , Department of Pathology gave  welcome speech and introduced the  speakers to the audience.

   The CME on “ONCOPATHOLOGY” started with a lecture by our Chief Speaker  Dr. N.ANUSHA who spoke about ovarian neoplasms

  DR. K.G.PADMANABHAN gave us a detailed insight into the updates of thyroid tumours.

 A session on cancer immune therapy was given by DR. N.BALAMURUGAN.

Our In house speakers DR. K.RAJESH , Department of Urology, and DR.MANIMARAN.S Department of Neurosurgery, and DR. MURALIPRASATH , Department of pathology gave us lectures on prostate cancer, paediatric brain tumors and histopathology of paediatric brain tumours respectively.

 There were 145 registrations with physical presence of 140 delegates .The delegates were predominantly postgraduates from all departments, undergraduates, and faculties We had registration from other colleges too.

  Interaction of audience with speaker included answering questions and clarifying doubts.

  Prior to the CME, there were poster competitions, Rangoli for undergraduates and AHS students. Undergraduates had model making competition and a quiz.

  IIMBBS students who got distinction and honours in pathology were honoured with certificates and momentum..
