Since the inception of college from 2010, Department of Orthopedics is functioning in remarkable manner. The department has got 3 MS(Ortho) PG seats since 2020 academic year and BSc Accident and Emergency with intake of 20 students yearly beside teaching MBBS.
Academic: The department has organised many CMEs latest being Spine CME during 2019 & Bone and Joint CME 2021 and, Hip CME 2022. Regular journal clubs, clinical society meetings, clinical teaching classes, Seminars being conducted. During past 3 years , 10 papers have been published in national and international journals by faculties. 3 final year PGs have done poster presentations in Dindigul mid year CME and paper presentations at State ortho conference TNOACON2023 at chennai.
